Registering for wedding gifts may sound like fun, but for many couples, they don’t feel the need for more “stuff”. Regardless though, your friends & family are going to want to get you a gift. An awesome wedding registry alternative launched earlier this month, The Good Beginning, spearheaded by our friend & fellow wedding planner, Beth Helmstetter.
The Good Beginning is a perfect alternative to a set of china that you may never use. Instead, it enables you to find a charity or multiple charities. Some of the charities already on board include nonprofits that focus on arts, education, rebuilding lives, poverty, hunger, children, human rights, animal welfare, healthcare, the environment and entrepreneurship.
From kitten rescues to literacy in Asia and Africa, there are so many unique ways you and your guests can make a difference on your big day. While asking guests to donate to charity isn’t an entirely new concept, in the past couples found it challenging to track donations. The Good Beginning enables couples to easily track donations.
Here’s an opportunity to make a difference in the world. Can you think of a better way to start a new life together?
