Horned Dorset Primavera
As event & wedding planners I think we all have that moment where for the very first time, you have a client who truly trusts you with their vision and lets you run with it. For me I think that moment will always be a destination wedding I planned nine years ago in 2011 in Puerto Rico. My client @kkreuzy trusted me to come up with an idea for a fun and festive Mexican-inspired rehearsal dinner that was a bright and colorful kickoff to their destination wedding weekend. We talked about using multicolored #papelpicado and ribbons on chairs (which I stashed in my suitcase & brought with us). I cut every single ribbon tied on the chairs for that dinner (and tied most of them LOL). I’m sure the hotel thought we were crazy when we said we wanted to string papel picado all across the terrace but they let us do it & let me borrow a ladder 😂. This rehearsal dinner eventually was featured in @martha_weddings (I think it might have been my first event featured there??). I still love how it turned out. It’s fun, festive, casual and welcoming — just how I like a rehearsal dinner to be. Happiest of anniversaries to @kkreuzy and @bryankreuzberger — being a part of your magical wedding day in Puerto Rico is something I’ll always remember. This image, shot by @studio1208 is probably the most iconic image from all of my past clients’ weddings — without fail it shows up in photo roundups, on Pinterest, in random magazine articles every now & then (often without credit to @studio1208). Thanks for having me be a part of your special day!
